Services for Carmen B. Freeman will at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church, Monterey, with the Revs. Preston Holder, Paul Stephens and Aaron Jolly officiating. Burial will be in Heard Cemetery, Manifest, under the direction of Comer, Ferriday.

Freeman, 90, of Monterey, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, in her residence.

She was a resident of Monterey for 38 years and a member of the First Baptist Church, Monterey. She was a retired receptionist and secretary for Dr. Charlie Passman.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maurice Lippman; her second husband, Robert Freeman; one son, Maurice Lippman Jr.; two sisters, Thelma Middleton and Laura Graham; five brothers, Sebastian Brown, W.J. Brown, Edgar Brown, Raymone Brown and Coyle Brown; and one grandson.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Lippman of Jonesville, and William Lippman of Hamilton, Miss.; one daughter, Lillian Davis of Jonesville; two sisters, Willeen Walters and Nathalie Duncan, both of Monterey; 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Lippman, Tony Lippman, Russell Lippman, David Davis, Jeff Gandy and Chris Davis.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. today until time of services Saturday in the church.
