The daughter of John Babb (1768-1829) and Rebecca Caster/Castor (1769-abt. 1851); born in Ohio, perhaps in/near East Liverpool, perhaps on Babb's Island in the Ohio River. On 23 March, 1820, she married Thomas McNabb in Columbiana County, Ohio. He died in 1847 and may well be buried in this plot; there is no remaining marker for him. The family, however, may have been living in Allegheny County at the time of his death. Kessiah was the mother of Mexican and Civil War soldier John Babb McNabb. Kessiah was my 3rd great-grandmother.
Other children of this family were Samuel McNabb (born about 1828), William P. McNabb (born about 1833), Susan McNabb (born about 1835) and Mary Ann McNabb (born about 1838).
Although her name is spelled "Kessiah" on her grave maker, in their family Bible it consistently is spelled "Keziah".
