J.W. Geary Cornelius died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Walter W. Smith, at Gilbertsville, PA, on Monday, 28 Sep 1936 at 1PM. He was the son of Isaac & Margaret (Parks) Cornelius and was born in Hares Valley, 24 Dec 1868. The deceased was one of Huntingdon County's famous set of triplets, all of who lived to be 60 years of age or more. One brother, W.T. Sherman Cornelius preceded him in death. Surviving brother and sister are U.S. Grant Cornelius, Robertsdale, and Mrs. Ann Smouse, Altoona. He was married 45 years to Anna Lynn and to this union were born 4 children; Mrs. Walter (Edith) Smith, Gilbertsville; Mrs. William (Delma) Rutherford, Altoona; Mrs. Boyd (Mary) Rosensteel, Mt. Union; and Irvin Cornelius, Philadelphia. The remains will be brought to the Dunmire Funeral Home, Mt. Union, on Wednesday, 30 Sep 1936 and to Bowman's Chapel Church on Thursday, 1 Oct 1936 in Smith Valley where services will be held at 2PM. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery, Bowmans Chapel Cemetery.
