He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Oakland. He started his career as a partner in the family business as a mechanic at Anderson's Garage. He worked at J&J Ford, Terra Alta, and was at Shaffer Ford, Oakland, for the past 19 years. He was a Ford Master Mechanic.
He was a member of the Terra Alta V.F.D. and held several offices. He had his pyrotechnics license and was involved with the fireworks for the 4th of July celebration for many years, and other holidays. He was a past member of the Terra Alta Moose Lodge.
He was a singer in the band, Bo and the Bandits, and did volunteer benefits for needy families in the area. He loved to hunt and fish and also loved antiques and antique cars.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He never met a person he wasn't willing to help.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joyce; a daughter and son-in-law,; two sons; two brothers; six sisters; a granddaughter; and many special nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, Charles E and Mary L. Lewis Anderson; he was preceded in death by two sisters, Connie Sue Harrison and Diana Graham.
