Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Blackwood Alexander, 79, wife of the late F. R. Alexander, who died at her home at 152 Hall St. Monday morning, will be held Tuesday at 4:30 at the J.F. Floyd Mortuary conducted by the Rev. Norman Shands. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. A native of Spartanburg, Mrs Alexander was a daughter of the late Charles and louvinia Burns Blackwood. She was an active member of the First baptist Church until her health failed several years ago. Surviving are one son, Ralph C. of Spartanburg; one daughter, Mrs. Jeanette Roberson of New York City; 2 sisters, Mrs. Floyd Smith and Mrs. O.L. Pace, both of Spartanburg; one grandson, Ralph C. Alexander, Jr. of Richmond VA; three nephews, Judge Chales M. Pace of Spartanburg, McDowell Blackwood of Birmingham, AL and W. A. Blackwood of Santa Monica, CA, and two nieces, Mrs. Lyman Hamrick of Gaffney and Miss Linnie Laura Blackwood of Columbia. Pallbearers will be : Leo Hughes, C.R. Bannister, Hiram Marritt, W.G. Willard, Jr., A.B. Skelton and James L. DeHart.
