Charles worked as a farm hand, but suffered greatly from inflammatory rheumatism which limited his ability to work.

South Russell, Feb 27 - Charles Bogart died at his mother's, Mrs. Jerbin Rush's at South Russell Sunday evening, Feb 21st at the age of 30 years, 1 month and 1 day. The burial was at Hermon Wednesday. He is survived by his wife and two children, Hetty and Fred Bogart; also a mother, Mrs. Jerbin Rush of South Russell; four sisters and one brother: Mrs. Bertha McCollum of Glenfield, NY; Mrs. Smith Allen of Cranberry Lake; Mrs. O. B. Hoar, Hermon, and Miss Fannie Bogart and Edward Bogart of South Russell. He was the oldest boy of Uriah and Sarah B. Bogart. He was born in Brighton, Washington county, Iowa, Jan 20, 1879. His parents moved to Chesterville, Ont in 1881 and moved from there to New York State ten years ago. They moved to the town of Russell where he had lived with his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. Jerbin Rush.

The Funeral of Charles Bogart was held at the Baptist Church on Wednesday at one P.M., the Reverend Hugh Kane officiating. He was born in Brighton, Washington County Iowa. Afterward the family moved to Canada and from there to South Russell. For a time he lived in Hermon where he was well known. He died in South Russell on February 21st at the comparatively early age of thirty years. He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and three children; also mother, three sisters and one brother. Internment was in Hermon Cemetery.
