Hezekiah EVANS was the son of

Hezekiah was their eldest child, and was administrator of his father's estate. His siblings were:

• Mary B. EVANS (died by 1840), who, in 1818 in Bulloch County, married William B. MCCALL (by 1830, this couple moved to Gadsden County in the Territory of Florida where his father Sherrod MCCALL had settled),
Sarah EVANS (1805-1866), who, in 1825 in Effingham County, first married Henry A. BURTON (who died by 1831), and then became the second wife of George Adam ASH (1793-1861) of Savannah in 1842 in Chatham County (latter couple buried in Savannah),
• Lucretia EVANS (born 1808-1809, died after 1860), who, about 1827, married James T. MOORE, who died in 1837 (his estate divided in 1852 - his administrator was Hezekiah EVANS),
• Letitia EVANS (born about 1813, died after 1870), who, in 1829 in Bulloch County, married the Rev. William Sherrod MOORE (1807-1868, who served a succession of several nearby Baptist churches and united at least three dozen couples in the area during 1836-1867, including many family members),
• Martha EVANS (unmarried in 1832), and
• James EVANS (Hezekiah EVANS was his guardian in 1831 - securities for his bond were their brother Charles EVANS and their brothers-in-law William S. MOORE and James MOORE).

In 1819, Hezekiah EVANS married Sarah MOORE (born 1793), the sister of James MOORE and the Rev. William Sherrod MOORE (born 1807); the three were the children of of John MOORE R.S. (1763-1819) & Marcia MCCALL (married 1792, died by 1822) of Effingham County; in that adjacent county, Hezekiah EVANS administered the estates of his wife's parents in 1822, and in 1823 and 1824, was the guardian of his brothers-in-law James MOORE (married about 1827) and William MOORE (married 1829).

Hezekiah & Sarah were the parents of eight children, born 1820-1834:
