Mr. Jackson was born in York, S.C., on April 16, 1933. He was the son of the late Ike and Fannie McLeod Jackson. He met and married Lessie Pressley in 1956. To this union two daughters, Judy and Leslie (deceased) and three sons, Andy Jr., Mark and Geoffery, were born. He attended and received his Associate of Art Degree from Carver University, Charlotte, N.C.; and his Bachelor of Science Degree from Savannah State University, Savannah, Ga. After twenty years of active service in the armed forces, the Army and the Air Forces, Andy retired from the Air Forces as Master Sergeant, Chief Air Traffic Controller, in 1974. He was the Jackson's family first generation paratrooper. He worked and retired from Sears after twenty-three years; and worked for D.G. Meyers in air conditioning management. Mr. Jackson was a member of Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church where he was active in the Boy Scouts, served as a member of the Trustee Board, Finance Committee and president of the United Methodist Men. He was also a member of the V.F.W, N.A.A.C.P, president of Greater Daytona Beach Coin Club and Westside Business Association. He enjoyed reading, coin collecting, and attending Bible Study and Sunday School. He was a beloved man and will be missed very much.
Survivors: He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Lessie; one daughter, Judy Pressley Franklin (Johnny), Jacksonville, Ark.; four sons, Andy Jackson, Jr., Daytona Beach, Mark Jackson (Matilda), Los Angeles, Calif., SGM Geoffery Jackson (Terry), El Paso, Texas, and Ariel Jackson, Morgantown, W.Va.; one brother, Issac Jackson, Baltimore, Md.; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

United Methodist Church, 300 N. Martin L. King, Jr. Boulevard, Daytona Beach: Family (4 p.m. until 4:30 p.m.); Public (4:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.). Funeral Services will be Monday, May 12, at 2 p.m. at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church, with Dr. Walter Monroe, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, 320 White Street, Daytona Beach.
