Ernest B. Roe, 88, Dies After Year's Illness
Ernest B. Roe, 88, of 1305 E. Howell St., died yesterday in a hospital after a year's illness.
Requiem Mass will be said at 9 o'clock Saturday in the Church of the Immaculate. Burial will be in Holyrood.
Mr. Roe was born in *Steubenville [sic], Ohio. He was in the mine-timber business in Harrison, Idaho, a number of years, then farmed at Cataldo, Idaho. Later, he was employed by the Atlas Tie Co. in Coeur d'Alene.
Mr. Roe had lived in Seattle since 1943, coming from Alaska, where had lived about five years.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine; a son, Ernest R. Roe, Anchorage; a daughter, Mrs. Norman Lange, Seattle; two brothers, Otto, Monroeville, Ohio, and Alto Roe, Seattle, and five grandchildren.
NOTE: Birthplace was Steuben, Huron County, Ohio, instead of Steubenville, Ohio.
