Funeral services were held yesterday at Koon's Funeral Home. Burial was in Edgewater Cemetery near New Smyrna Beach.
Carter came to Shiloh 20 years ago from Statenville, Ga., where he was born and grew to manhood. He had been staying at the home of his daughter for sometime when he died. In charge of the service were Rev. J. T. Mashburn of the Baptist church and T. DeWitt Taylor.*
He is survived by three other daughters, Miss Agnes Carter of Titusville, Miss Leila Carter of Shiloh, and Mrs. Raymond Rennie, of Jacksonville; and by three sons, Fred W. Carter of Shiloh, E. J. Carter, of Plant City, and O. L. Carter, Mims; and a sister, Mrs. E. M. Mikesell of Zephyrhills.*
