On November 28, 1970 he was married to Karen Rush. She died December 16, 2002.
On August 16, 2006 he married Bev. Turner. She survives.
Other survivors include sons; Benjamin and Travis; daughters, Kim Kendall, Amy Engelbert and Val Klitzke; brother; Butch Rives; sister; Sue Herman; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Methodist Church, Utica with the Rev. James Brackett presiding. Burial will be in Utica Cemetery, Utica, Kansas.
