J. Peder Boysen was an Eau Claire radio and television personality. He was best known for being the long-time morning announcer on WAXX-FM in Eau Claire and being one of the most popular voices in Wisconsin radio history. J. Peder was known for his jokes, better known on the show as "Boysenberries" and his banter with farm director Jerry Urdahl. J. Peder was also a common voice heard on WEAU-TV, especially when the stations were under the common ownership of Post Broadcasting (with WAYY-AM in Chippewa Falls). The voice heard on the sign-on and sign-off of WEAU-TV was that of J. Peder Boysen until his unexpected and untimely death in 1978.
