His father was Joseph Jones, born Dec. 24, 1841 in Georgia (1920 Census) and died in 1900. Joseph is buried in Furr (Coal Creek) Cemetery in Bryant, OK. Benjamin's mother was Minnie Smith. She was born in Mississippi (1920 Census). Minnie and Joseph married in 1862. They may have lived in Georgia when the Civil War started in 1961.

Benjamin Jones was the father of Norine Jones Allen buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, CA (see her picture to the right), and Ourrine Jones her twin buried in Coal Creek Cemetery in Bryant, OK near Henryetta, Netta "Nettie" Jones Allen, William James "Roy" Jones, Minnie Rosetta Jones, Robert Jackson Jones, Alvie Franklin Jones, Eliga "Don" Jones buried in CA, Goldie Virginia Jones Heckethorne (buried in Inglewood cemetery, Inglewood, CA), and Ada Kiarley Jones (died as an infant, date and place of burial Ukn.)

His siblings were: C. Elizabeth "Lizzie" Jones (buried in Coal Creek Cemetery); James Jones (may be buried in Hendersonville, TX; Henry Jones buried in Coal Creek; Rosetta "Rosie" Jones (may be buried in Hichita, OK cemetery); William Tinsley Jones buried in Coal Creek (Furr) Cemetery in Bryant, OK near Henryetta; and Mattie Virginia Jones Moncrief Myers. Born Feb. 18, 1882. Died Oct. 15. 1964. Buried in West Lawn Cemetery in Henryetta, OK.

Married to Sarah Melissa "Sally" Murray Jones Mar. 8, 1901 at Henryetta, Creek Nation, Indian Territory on March 8, 1901. She died in 1924. After Sally died he married Bessie. She died in 1946.

Note: C.L. Allen discovered the year of birth on his marker was incorrect. It was listed as 1883 but should have been 1880.
