She was born Oct. 22, 1931, in Patriot, the daughter of Robert Edward and Irene R. Armstrong Smith. She was a 1951 graduate of Patriot High School. She was employed in the lasting department of the U.S. Shoe Factory in Vevay for several years and was also a secretary at Patriot Elementary, Jeff Craig Elementary and the superintendent's office of the Switzerland County School Corporation. She employed earlier in life with the Schenley Distillery in Lawrenceburg from 1959 to 1963. She was a member of Patriot Baptist Church and enjoyed crafts, quilting, crocheting and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman D. Robinson, whom she married May 2, 1947, and who died May 4, 2004; one daughter, Cynthia Jo Robinson, who died April 12, 1954; her parents; one brother, Larry J. Smith, who died July 12, 1999; and one grandson.
The funeral was at Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay. Burial was in the East View Cemetery in Patriot.
