Dan was born January 12, 1954 in Beaumont, Texas, the son of Dan Wyle McKnight, Jr. and Wanda Jean Broxson McKnight. He was an accomplished musician who played for several bands. He is preceded in death by his parents and by one son, John McKnight. He is survived by daughters, Lisa McKnight of Sheldon, Crystal McKnight of Channelview; Memorie McKnight and Destiny McKnight of Porter, Texas; by sons, Dale McKnight of New Caney, Texas; Bill McKnight and Robert McKnight of Channelview; and David McKnight of Memphis, Tennessee; by one sister, Connie Jean Bankston of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and by three grandchildren. Also a great friend, Jeff Wibanks.
