She married Jacob Thomas in 1866.
"Mrs. Eliza Thomas died at 8 o'clock on Saturday morning, at the age of almost 30 years. She was the consort of Jacob L. Thomas, an industrious and worthy citizen of this township.
She had been confined to her bed for the last 18 months, and during that time had suffered very much. She was a noble and generous hearted woman, and was very highly respected by all of her acquaintances.
Her funeral was preached on Monday last by Rev. W.A. Smith, of Covington, after which the remains were conveyed to the silent home of the dead, there to await the day of resurrection." - Newport Hoosier State, Thursday, July 30, 1874 (Obituary provided by Carolyn Schwab)
