Leo H. Alexander
Leo H. Alexander, 72, of
Lorain. died Monday at St.
Joseph Hospital and Health
Center after a sudden illness.
Born in Elyria. he was raised
in Lorain County making his
home for 25 years in South
Amherst before moving to
Lorain eight years ago.
Mr. Alexander retired in Jan.
1977 from Conrail Railroad,
Lorain, after 30 years of service.
He started with New York
Central Railroad, Lorain yard,
which later merged with Conrail.
An Army veteran of World
War II, he served for three years
participating in the European
Theater.
He attended South Amherst
Congregational Church.
Mr. Alexander also enjoyed
bowling in the Saturday Night
Bowling Leagues.
Survivors include his wife,
Faye (nee Jarvis) to whom he
was married 47 years; daughters,
Judith of Amherst, Sue
Stashak of Alsip, 111., Harmony
of Olympia, Wash., and May
Winquist of Chicago, III; and
three grandchildren.
His sisters, Cynthia, Myrtle,
Ruth, and Ola, preceded him in
death.
A memorial service will be
held at a time to be announced.
Contributions in memory of
Mr. Alexander may be directed
to First Congregational Church.

Home, Amherst.
