DUNN - Near Cayucos, May 3, Mrs. Frank J. Dunn.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A sad coincidence of funerals of two young mother's of large families occurred this week. Mrs. Bonetti, who was highly respected by all who knew her, leaves five very young children.
The case of Mrs. Frank Dunn is especially sad. The infant form of her eleventh child, which lived but an hour, was placed in the same casket with her remains. Mrs. Dunn was beloved as a noble, heroic woman and mother. Universal sympathy is felt for the family of ten children, ranging from 2 to 17 years of age. These two deaths have cast a pall of gloom over the whole neighborhood.
OLD CREEK, SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CA
The death of Mrs. Frank J. Dunn was deeply felt in this section (Old Creek), and much commiseration is felt for the aged father, the bereaved husband and the ten little orphan children, seven of whom are girls, who will, with profound regret, mourn the loss of a woman who in every walk in life, had few equals and no superiors. The deceased was the sister of Mrs. Buffington, Mrs. P. White and Mrs. McMillan, of Cholame. While sitting at my window, for the ailments of advanced age I regret to say, prevent me from mingling much with the world, either with its joys or sorrows, I noted 55 vehicles that followed the remains of Mrs. Dunn to the last resting place. It was very remarkable. No such procession was ever seen before in this part of the country. Rev. Mr. Slocombe officiated at the funeral ceremonies.
