Ashton Price Clemmer, 51 of Big Chimney, died Tuesday morning 12/5/61 at his home after suffering a heart attack.
He was an employee of the State Road Commission, a World War II veteran and a member of the Massey Chapel Methodist church at Big Chimney.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth, two sons, Bobby of Beckley and James of Knoxville, Tenn. Four daughters, Mrs. Betty Allen of Pinch, Mrs. Mary Smith of Smithland, Ky. And Mrs. Ann Campbell and Mrs. Nancy Samples, both of Elkview; two step-sons William L. Clemmer of Richmond, Va. And Frank P. Clemmer of Big Chimney; three step-daughters Mrs. Estelle Pyatt and Mrs. Helen Maxwell, both of London, Ohio, and Mrs. Irene Teel of Big Chimney; his step-mother Mrs. Nell Clemmer of Big Chimney; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Ross of Clendenin and Mrs. Bonnie Mullins of Big Chimney, two step-sisters Mrs. Agnes Sager of Washington, D.C. and Mrs. June Kirby of Milton; two brothers, A.W.
