Phyllis Arden Boyce, 78, a lifelong resident of Peshastin and Leavenworth, went home to be with her Lord and her mother, on Monday afternoon, March 10, 2008, as a result of a sudden heart attack, after three years of battling strokes and confinement to a wheelchair. Phyllis was born on July 3, 1929, to Lloyd Lester and Marie Rose (Kuch) Lake at Leavenworth. Phyllis was raised and educated in Peshastin, graduating from Peshastin High School in 1947. Following graduation, she married Jarvis Boyce at Wenatchee and the couple made their home in Peshastin, where she worked in the Brownie Fruit Warehouse as a packer for many years. Phyllis never knew a stranger and she was a member of the Peshastin Assembly of God Church for over 58 years, where she often played the piano. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and taking care of her family. She was an A-1 Homemaker and a good friend to many. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jarvis of the family home; her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and April Boyce; and her daughter, Heather Boyce, all of Peshastin; one brother, Lewis Lake of Peshastin; and her grandchildren, Luke and Autumn Boyce; also many close friends and her dog, Mac. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother. A Memorial Service of Commemoration to Celebrate the Life of Phyllis A. Boyce will be held at 11:00 o'clock Sunday morning, March 16, 2008, in the Peshastin Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Larry Wooten officiating. Private Family Interment will be in the Peshastin Cemetery. Memorials, in her name, may be made to Peshastin Assembly of God Church, 8353 Lake Street, Peshastin, WA 98847.
