Colleen Quarnberg Memmott, Scipio, Utah, passed away May 8, 2008 at the Central Valley Medical Center in Nephi, Utah.

Colleen was born May 29, 1926 in Scipio, Utah to Archie Vivian Quarnberg and Fern Thompson Quarnberg. She married Nord Kay Memmott June 19, 1942 in the Manti Temple and they spent 62 happy years together. Colleen was an active member in the Scipio ward in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many positions. She was also a member of the DUP (Daughters of Utah Pioneers). Along with Nord, she helped start the Scipio Garden Club and was involved in many civic activities. She was especially proud of the many beautiful flowers grown in their yard. Colleen was a hard worker and oversaw operation of the family farm when Nord was working away from home. Colleen loved to travel throughout the United States and to other countries and just being out of doors. She loved family and worked hour after hour making quilts and other special gifts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survived by sons, Wendell (Paula), Dwight (Diane), Stuart (Terry), Kent (Barbara), brothers, Sheldon (Beulah) Quarnberg, Ferrell (Sandy) Quarnberg, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Colleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Nord, sister, Vivian, grandson, Cody, great-granddaughter, Mistie, and sister-in-law, Anna Mae Quarnberg.

Funeral Services will be held Mon., May 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Scipio Ward Chapel. Friends may call on Sun. at the Scipio Ward Chapel from 6-8 p.m. and Mon. from 9:30-10:30 prior to Services.
Interment will be at the Scipio Cemetery under the care of Rasmussen Mortuary.
