Thelma Irene Primm, 95, of Columbia died Thursday evening, April 24, 2008, at Dove House in Westminster. Born March 17, 1913, in Round Hill, Va., she was the daughter of the late William M. and Lutie V. Marcus. She was the wife of Herschel W. Primm, her husband of 49 years, who died in 1987. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law Neal T. and Barbara Primm of Columbia, and Marcus Lee and Louna S. Primm of Westminster; sisters Rachel Rogers of Americus, Ga., Opal Phelps of Greensboro, N.C., and Jessie Marcus of Beltsville; grandchildren Michael Primm of Baltimore, Karen Stieg of McLean, Va., Courtnay Linthicum of Myersville, Megan Wittenberg of Frederick, Kristie Metz of Columbia, and Matthew L. Primm of Los Angeles, Calif.; and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Abigail L. Metz; sisters Pernie Woodend and Frances Hunter; and brothers Brim, Clemmer, Glover, and Grover Marcus. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Fletcher Funeral Home, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with the Rev. Jimmie Schwartz, chaplain at Carroll Lutheran Village, officiating. Interment will be private in Colesville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
