Bill Sulgrove was born June 4, 1929, to George B. and Agnes E. (Antle) Sulgrove of Dexter and was a 1946 graduate of Earlham High School. Following graduation, he attended a commercial trade school in Chicago, specializing in air conditioning repair. In 1948, Bill joined the United States Army. Part of his military experience was spent during the Korean conflict. His marriage to Emily Neal took place June 15, 1957, in Dexter. Most of his life was spent farming and cattle feeding in the Dexter/Stuart area. He also was involved in 4-H.
He was preceded in death by a son, Matthew.
He is survived by one daughter, Susan McKenzie of Rochester, Minn.; two sons, Ted Sulgrove of Des Moines and Russell Sulgrove of Adel; a sister, Betty Jean; and five grandchildren.
