Penfield - Annice Maude Challingsworth, 73, of Penfield, died at her home today.
Friends may call at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Samuel G. Butler will conduct services from the funeral home at 1 p.m. Monday. Interment will follow in the Morningside Cemetery.
Mrs. Challingsworth was born April 30, 1907 in Yorkshire, England, the daughter of Walter and Maud (Collie) Evans, Sr. She was married to the late James Challingsworth, Sr.
She left England at the age of five, came to DuBois where she lived until age 18 when she married Mr. Challingsworth and became a resident of Penfield. She was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors are a son James Challlingsworth, Jr. of Penfield, two grandchildren, Richard and Debbie and a brother Arthur Evans of Texas.
