Beth Renee Bell, 38, of Kennett, died Friday July 4, 2003 at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born on September 28, 1964, in Hayti, Mo., a daughter of Martha Wilson Nichols of Kennett and the late Jerry Pinnon, she was employed as an office worker with Sparks Accounting in Kennett.

Survivors include one daughter, Lori Foley of Kennett; two sons, Trey Foley and Jacob Tipton, both of Kennett; grandmother, Thelma Major of Kennett; one sister, Holly Marbry of Kennett; one grandchild, Devin Foley and a special friend, Kevin McDaniels.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, at the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.

Burial was in the Portageville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were David Walker, Gene Crafton, Brandon Fam, Chris Busch and Jason Yates.

Ernest Carr

Ernest B. Carr, 85, of Cordova, Tenn., formerly of Hayti, Mo., died Monday, June 30, 2003, at the Cordova Rehab Nursing home.

Born on March 13, 1918, in Dyersburg, Tenn., a son of the late James Franklin and Lorene Jones Carr, he was a member of the Cordova Church of Christ and a retired farmer.

On May 29, 1947, he married Madge Gibson who survives of the home.

Survivors include two sons, Ernie Bolin and wife, Lillian of Naylor, Mo., and Tom Irby of Jackson, Miss.; one daughter, Becky Doyle of Collierville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 7, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, with Jerry Martin officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.

Pallbearers were Neal Doyle, Nathan Martin, Bob Gallamore, Bobby Liddell and Kevin Scott.
