Their daughter, Ellen "Nellie" (Lancaster) Churchill, 1802-1850, Nellie entered the Dominican Sisterhood in Washington County, Kentucky in 1822 and took the name, Sister Mary, O.P. She left the convent in 1823 and eventually became an Episcopalian. In 1847 she became the third wife of Judge Armistead H. Churchill, 1795-1880. She died in 1850 and is buried with him on his estate near Elizabethtown in Hardin County, Kentucky.

Their son Rev. Father James Madison Lancaster, 1808-1869, studied at the Urban College of the Propaganda in Rome from 1831-1834, He was ordained in Rome on December 21, 1833. He served as pastor at St. Joseph Cathedral, Bardstown, Kentucky from 1836-1840; President of St. Joseph College, Bardstown, Kentucky from 1840-1844; he pastored a church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Founded Good Shepherd Church, Frankfort, Kentucky1848-1865; served as Vicar General of then Diocese of Covington 1867-1868. He was serving as the Apostolic Administrator of the Covington Diocese, 1868-1869, when he died on May 3, 1869.
