Pearl Barnett, 88, of 519 N. Lincoln Ave., Fayetteville, TN, died October 3, 1989, in the Pulaski Health Care Center, Pulaski, TN.

Funeral services were held October 6 at 11 a.m. in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Gatlin Cemetery with Taylor Funeral Home in charge.

A native of Tennessee, Mrs. Barnett was the daughter of the late Freeman Whitt and Lizzie Smith Whitt. She retired after 36 years of service from National Stores Corp. Mrs. Barnett was a charter member of the First Baptist Church (Ardmore) and a member of Fayetteville Home Demonstration Club.

Survivors include on daughter, Kathleen Henderson of Ardmore, TN; one son, Thomas Oliver Barnett of St. Clair Shores, MI; one sister, Lucille Arnette of Ardmore, TN; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
