She was born November 3, 1944 in Rogersville, TN to William & Jessie (Parvin) Seymore. She married Leslie "Ed" Burroughs on November 5, 1962 in Wayne County, IL.
She was employed for the past 20 years at Addus Healthcare in Mt. Vernon.
Ruby loved bowling and was a member of various leagues in Flora and Salem as well as having bowled in several state and national tournaments.
She is survived by her husband Leslie "Ed" Burroughs of Flora; children: Barbara Colclasure & husband Rick of Flora, Leslie R. Burroughs & wife Jan of Olney, Mary Allen & husband Tom of Orchardville, Larry Burroughs & wife Cheryl of Louisville; brothers: William Seymore & wife Norma of Rome, GA, James Seymore & wife Dorothy of Zenith; sister: Anna "Snookie" Gunsallus of Flora; 13 grandchildren & 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister & brother-in-law (Evelyn & Ray Dodson), 1 grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Burial will be in Powers Cemetery, Xenia. Visiation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society and may be received at the funeral home.
