Jane Marie Weaver, 79, of Soda Springs, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Caribou Memorial Hospital in Soda Springs. She was born January 11, 1929 at Logan, Utah the daughter of Joseph Allen and Nettie Melissa Smith Field.

Jane married Rex W. Weaver, February 16, 1947 in Soda Springs. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

She had also lived in Pocatello, Driggs, Grays Lake, and Conda and in Soda Springs the last 50 years. Jane was a member of the Soda Springs LDS 8th Ward. She had served in the Relief Society for 21 years; primary secretary, homemaking counselor, visiting teaching board member and Gospel Doctrine President. She had worked for Chase Floral for 10 years. She enjoyed flowers, camping, sewing, quilting and her family.

Jane is survived by her husband Rex W. Weaver, Soda Springs, 2 sons and 1 daughter; Allen D and Cindy Weaver, Pocatello, ID; Larry D and Wendy Weaver, Soda Springs and Bonnie M. Harris, Idaho Falls, ID. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren a great-great grandchild and a sister, Pat Cartwright, Boise, ID.

She was preceded in death by a son Robert L. Weaver and a son-in-law, Jack Harris.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, May 5th at Noon at the Hooper LDS Chapel, located at 3rd East and Hooper Ave. with Bishop Alan Skinner officiating. Burial was in the Fairview Cemetery in Soda Springs.
