Damon Harris, age 81, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Born March 23, 1927, in Bruno, WV, to the late Alex and Mary "Eastridge" Harris. Also preceded in death by brother Dennis Harris and sisters Geraldine Grimmett and Vernie Belcher. Survived by devoted wife of 52 years Essie P. Harris; sons, Dale (Susan) and Jerry (Jan) Harris; precious grandchildren, Dale, Jr. and Amber Dawn; sister, Francis Lamb; brother-in-law, Rush Carter; sisters-in-law, Midgie Thompson, Pansy Belcher, Louisa Cresong, Juanita Carter, and Vicie Collins; many nieces and nephews. Special Thanks to Tom, John, Brian, Dee, Tammy, Dusty, Pauline, Carol, and Ralph, and especially Nurse David Hanhilammi and the Mt. Carmel Hospice. Friends may call Friday, May 9, at the Hilock Fellowship Baptist Church, 3201 U Ave., in Columbus, OH, from 5 p.m. until time of service at 12Noon on Saturday, May 10.
