Perhaps due to my relationship with Carlos, the gift of myrrh, holy anointing, my future, by far seems to be the most treasured of all the gifts. I made the choice not to let Carlos HIV positive status close the door on what had the potential to be a really good friendship. I am really glad I chose not to close that door, for his lessons in love to this day attribute to many values I have about myself, values that make me who I am. Because of him, I know my life does have meaning; I can and will make a difference. His lessons in love gave me a new willingness to live life with abundant happiness. To see life as a wonderful, mystical, and glorious journey I do not want to miss. I remain steadfast in my thankfulness that he has been, however brief, such an important part of my life.
It wouldn't be long before I learned his purpose in life was to bring God's love to those who needed it the most.
