Services for Dennis L. Alderson, 35, of Grand Chute, Wis., formerly of LeClaire, Iowa, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island. Burial will be in a local cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to a fund for his children.

Mr. Alderson died Friday, July 9, 1999, in Grand Chute.

Dennis was born April 8, 1964, in Paola, Kan., the son of James Dennis Alderson and Elizabeth Frawley. He married Melissa McNichols Feb. 14, 1992, in Rock Island.

He graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 1982. He had worked at Valve Repairs in Bettendorf and currently was employed at the American Motor Inn, Grand Chute.

He was a Marine Corps veteran.

He loved being with his sons, enjoyed fishing and was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Survivors include sons, James and Michael Alderson, both of Milan; his father, James Dennis Alderson, Odessa, Texas; his mother, Elizabeth Frawley, Gatesville, Texas; stepmother, Gloria ``Corky'' Alderson, Virginia Beach, Va.; grandmothers, Helen Winter, Rock Island, Iva Alderson, Yates Center, Kan.; sisters, Kim Curtis, Ennis, Texas, Lisa Tanner and Amber Alderson, both of Virginia Beach, Va.; brother, John Alderson, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and stepbrother, Jeff Frawley, Gatesville, Texas.
