Mr. Hopkins was born in Rockingham County to Louise Vaughn Hopkins and the late John William Hopkins. He was previously employed by American Nurseries as a potter.
Surviving are his wife, Billie Jean Hopkins of Eden; mother Louise Hopkins of the home; brother John William "J.W." Hopkins; stepson Tony Rogers of Eden; step grandchildren, Harley and Brianna; niece Teresa Proberts of Olathe, Kansas; special friends Danny and Raevone Hooker.
