Dr. C.E. Elliott Dead.

Dr. C.E. Elliott died this morning at 6:20 o'clock at the home of his son, C.E. Elliott, on North Washington avenue. He had been in ill health for some months. His sickness started with pneumonia, which resulted in an abcess on the lungs. The funeral will be held from the Elliott home tomorrow afternoon, conducted by Rev. H.M. Barnett, pastor of the Christian church.

The remians will be cremated. The body will be take to Chicago Monady morning, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Elliott, for that purpose. They will bring the ashes back with them and bury them in Prairie Lawn cemetery.

Dr. Elliott was 69 years, five months and thirteen days of age. He was a native of Portage county, Ohio, and graduated in medicine at Hiram, O., when president Jas. A Garfield was president of Hiram college. That was in 1856 or '57. He came to Kansas in 1885 and entered upon the practice of medicine here. He retired from active practice six or seven years ago. Dr. Elliott's wife died fifteen years ago last month, and is buried in Prairie Lawn. He was a member of the Christian church and Masonic and Knights of Pythias lodges. The latter lodge will assist in the funeral exercises. Dr. Elliott is survived by only one son and a sister, Mrs. Emma Ganoe, of Ohio. She is very old and will be unable to attend the funeral.
