Dennis Winn passed away April 29, 2008 in Vancouver, WA.

Dennis was born October 10, 1935 in SLC, UT to Ernest Raymond Winn and Stella Alberta Davis. Dennis grew up in SLC and graduated from West High School. Dennis went on to serve his country in the Special Forces as a Green Beret. He then worked 38 years for Nabisco Foods. Dennis is a member of the LDS church and spent his life serving and helping others. He was a great friend to the missionaries.

Dennis was preceded in death by both parents and his brother Norman C. Winn. He is survived by his wife Martha of Vancouver; a sister, Ann Lambourne of West Jordan, Utah; Aunt Eileen Drachman of Salt Lake City; his two sons, Steven (Casi) and David (Jana) of Orange County, CA; three beautiful grandchildren and several nieces and nephews that love and adore him.

A Graveside Service will be held for Friends and Family at Elysian Burial Gardens located at 1075 E. 4580 So. In East Millcreek, Utah at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2008.

Oct. 10, 1935 ~ April 29, 2008- Dennis Raymond Winn, 72, of Vancouver went to be with our Heavenly Father Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Southwest Washington Medical Center at Vancouver, Washington. He was born October 10, 1935 at Salt Lake City, Utah to Ernest Raymond and Stella Alberta (Davis) Winn. He was raised at Salt Lake and graduated from high school in 1953. Shortly after high school he entered the military distinguishing himself as one of a select group of men, spending part of his service in special forces as a Green Beret. In his professional life Dennis epitomized the American success story. He worked almost his entire professional career, 38 years, with Nabisco Foods beginning quite humbly in a stock room and eventually rising to positions of National Auditor and Vice President of Production. He retired in 1989. He married Martha Moll in 1993 and moved to Vancouver, WA in 1994. Among Dennis' hobbies and pastimes were flying and tennis. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in numerous callings and positions, most recently as a High Priests Group leader and an ordinance worker in the Portland, Oregon temple. Dennis is survived by his wife, Martha of Vancouver, WA; his sister, Ann Lambourne of West Jordan, UT; an aunt, Eileen Drachman of UT; sons, David (Jana) Winn and Steven (Kasi) Winn of Los Angeles, CA; and three grandchildren, James David Winn, Alyssa Nicole Winn and Andrew Michael Winn. Also surviving are five children from a previous marriage, Roger, Dianne, Kenneth, Keith and Gloria. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Norman C. Winn in 1989. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 11101 NE 119th Street, Vancouver, WA. Burial will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 in the Elysian Garden Cemetery in Salt Lake City, UT. Memorial contributions may be given to the donor's choice.
