BURNS Verna O., 88, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2002 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born December 7, 1913 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Daniel T. and Elizabeth Ann (Dyer) Burns, Sr. Verna was a lifetime member of Cherokee Hills Church of Christ. Verna is survived by one son, Morris Burns and his wife Dottie of Shawnee; one brother, Dan T. Burns, Jr. of Oklahoma City; three grand children, Alan Burns, Jackie Simmons, and Joel Burns; and four great grandchildren, Christopher Burns, Annie Simmons, Sammie Simmons, and Evan Burns. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 7, 2002 in the Chapel of Resthaven Funeral Home with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
