Kathleen A. Vierling

1927 - 2015


Kathie passed away at RiverBend Hospital on January 14, 2015.


She was born on August 24, 1927 in Omaha, NE to Nicholas and Maebelle O'Brien. In 1948 she married Thomas J. Vierling and moved to the Seattle area in 1962. She later moved to Eugene in her retirement years.


She was a gentle soul who loved nature, animals and had a sharp, zany wit. Her faith, family, and church were paramount to her.


Kathie is survived by her sons, Daniel of Redmond, WA and Thomas Jr. (Laura) of Onalaska, WI, six grandchildren, two great-greatchildren, a sister-in-law, three nieces and three nephews.


A memorial service will be held Monday, January 19 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1300 Pearl St., Eugene with a light lunch following. Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
