Mrs. Martha Page Yates Dead.
Death takes from us another one of our friends, and a Christian worker. Mrs. M. P. Yates, whose departure we mourn, died at her home in this county, December 23d. She was a graduate of the Hampton School, and was a faithful teacher and worker.
She taught several years in this county, one year in Mathews Co., and one year at Shell Bank, Va.
The funeral services were held at Poplars Church, and conducted by Rev. A. T. Gayle.
She leaves a husband who has our deepest sympathy. He loses a devoted wife and the community loses a good neighbor.
