Birdie Berry Higdon, age 95, of Woodland Terrace Nursing Home, Elizabethtown, passed away January 2, 1983 in Hardin County. She was born May 12, 1887 in Grayson County and was the daughter of John S. Higdon and Sue Goldsberry Higdon. Her husband, Vena L. Higdon, deceased. / She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. / Survivors include one son, Noel P. Higdon, Leitchfield and one daughter, Beatrice Fox of 2735 Brownsboro Road, Louisville, Ky., two grandchildren and one great grandchild also service. / Funeral services were Tuesday, January 4, 1983 at the St. Elizabeth Church with the Rev. Charles DeNardi officiating with interment in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery, under the direction of Rogers Funeral Home.
