Former Nevada state senator and member of an old-time Comstock family, Clinton B. Andreasen died at his home in Virginia City Thursday following an illness of about three months. He was 48 years of age. Funeral services will be held at the Capital City Mortuary in Carson City Saturday at 1:30 p.m, under direction of Escurial Lodge No. 7, F&AM, with Rev. Robert L. Stevenson of Coventry Cross Episcopal Church in Minden acting as chaplain. Burial will follow in the Masonic Cemetry in Virginia City. Mr. Andreasen was born in Virginia City March 15, 1913, and spent his entire life on the Comsock. At the time of his death he was operator of the Sazarac
Saloon in Virginia City.
He graduated from Virginia High School in 1931 and engaged in mining for a time before he entered the bar business. A Democrat, he was elected to the Nevada State Senate from Storey County in the 1942 general election and served in the upper house in the 1943 and 1945 sessions. He had been active in Democratic party circles on the Comstock for many years.

Mr. Andreasen was a member of Escurial Lodge No. 7, F&AM of Virginia City and was a past master of the lodge. He is survived by his widow, Shirley; three children, his mother, Mrs. Alice Andreasen, a sister, Mrs. Marian Gladding; and two brothers, Fred and Earl Andreasen, all of Virginia City. Also surviving are a number of other relatives, both on the Comstock and elsewhere.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the American Cancer Society
