Shelia Marie Phillips, 46, of Cookeville, passed away April 15, 2003. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 18, from the chapel of Crest Lawn Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery and Mausoleums in Cookeville. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Crest Lawn Funeral Home. Minister Hillier Duke will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Phillips was born July 23, 1956 in Gainesboro, TN, the daughter of Louis and Madge Wheeler of Cookeville.
She served the insurance business of Cookeville for many years while employed at Swallows-Newman Insurance Agency of Cookeville. She was also a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Phillips; daughters and son-in-law, Chasity and Chris Howard, Ashley Phillips and Molly Phillips, all of Cookeville; parents, Louis and Madge Wheeler of Cookeville; sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley Wheeler of Cookeville and Tracey and Jonathan Wakefield of Chattanooga; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at the request of the family.
