BELLEVIEW -- Edith Yates Abshier, 89, a homemaker, died Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at Surrey Place in Ocala.
A native of Medelia, Minn., she came to Belleview 70 years ago. Mrs. Abshier was a member of First Baptist Church in Belleview.
Survivors include her sons, Loren Yates and Larry Stuart Abshier, both of Belleview; sister, Edna Hart, Ocklawaha; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. "Lou" Abshier.
