ALBANY, OREGON, August 16. J. M. V. Bilyeu, 70, native of Linn County, son of early Oregon pioneers, died at a hospital here yesterday and will be buried near Scio tomorrow afternoon.
Mr. Bilyeu was born November 20, 1860, near Scio, and spent all of his life in that section, engaging in farming until a few years ago, when he moved to Albany.
Surviving are the widow, three sons and a daughter. The daughter is Gertrude Bilyeu of San Diego, California. The sons are Dr. V. R. Bilyeu and A. M. Bilyeu, Portland and Floyd Bilyeu, Pasadena, California. a sister, three brothers, and four grandchildren also are living.
