Mrs. Seth Dinwiddie

Monday Morning at 6:30 o'clock occurred the death of Mrs. Seth Dinwiddie of Grand Rapids, following an illness which has extended over a considerable period. She was 66 years old at the time of her death.

The funeral was held at 2:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon with Rev. J.W. Proper of Cohasset in charge. Burial was in Itasca Cemetery.

Evangeline Medara Draper, was born in Constantia, New York, March 14, 1854. In her early childhood her parents moved to Scott, Wisconsin and then on April 4, 1880 she married Seth M. Dinwiddie. Shortly thereafter they left by wagon train to take up a homestead on Mille Lacs Lake, where they lived for 21 years. They then lived a short time in Aitken and came to Grand Rapids in 1901.

Eleven children were born to this union, eight of whom are living and two of whom died at birth, a daughter, Mrs. George Jacobs died two years ago and Mrs. Dinwiddie has been declining in health ever since that time. And an attack of influenza did much to destroy her vitality. Following are the names of the children in order of age: Jason, Carrie, Rhoda, Grace, Cora, May, Ruth, Sandy. She is survived by all these children excepting Carrie, Mrs. Jacobs and by her husband.
