Regine Eccard was a victim of the crash of Air France Flight 447. She was travelling with her parents, sister and niece on the overnight flight from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to Paris, France. During a change in the pilots' shifts, the pilots became confused and accidentally stalled the aircraft. Unable to pull out of the plunge, the jet crashed into the mid-Atlantic ocean, killing all aboard.
