This is oldest grave in cemetery. Young son of Samuel W. (born in Vermont) and Susan Fish (born in Ohio). The town of Miller (now part of Gary) was named after Samuel, who was an innkeeper in Miller. The original tombstone was removed by vandals. A new stone was put in place the summer of 2006, thanks to donations. John's maternal grandparents were Samuel Fish (born in New York) and Catherine (born in Pennsylvania).
