Longtime Alaskan Paul Edward "Blackie" Albright, 60, died Sept. 8 at his Anchorage residence.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. American Legion Post 28, Commander Terry Underhill and Chaplain Susan Britt will officiate.

Mr. Albright was born Jan. 28, 1932, in York, Pa. He had lived in Anchorage for the past 39 years. He worked for Anchorage Sand and Gravel for many years as a concrete truck driver and retired from the local Teamsters Union.
Mr. Albright was a member of American Legion Post 28 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9981. He enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Mr. Albright is survived by his wife of 38 years, Della of Anchorage; his sons, Robert of Wasilla, Ronald of Oxnard, Calif., and Rodney of Anchorage; his daughter, Rae Ann Lappo of Oxnard; his sisters, Marcella Markey and Louise Lichty of York, and Millie Anderson of Dover, Pa.; his brothers, Arther and Joseph of York; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Minerva, and a granddaughter, Jennie.
The family requests that memorial donations be sent to the American Cancer Society, 406 W. Fireweed, Suite 204, Anchorage 99503, or to the American Legion, 7001 Brayton Dr., Anchorage 99516.

Arrangements were handled by Evergreen Memorial Chapel.
