John L. Heinrich, 85, of 83 Peppler St., Waterloo, died Thursday at Scott Pavilion of K-W Hospital after a lengthy illness.


A resident of Waterloo for the past 15 years, he previously farmed for many years on Hesson road, Wellesley Township. He was born in Wellesley Township, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Heinrich.


His marriage to the former Rosa A. Thuroo, who survives, took place at Erbsville in 1907. Mr. Heinrich was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Waterloo.


Surviving are one son, Nelson, of Conn; four daughters, Alviera Heinrich and Mrs. Edward (Alice) Schott of Waterloo, Mrs. Luella Heier, Kitchener, and Mrs. Alfred (Viola) Ward of Bridgeport; one sister, Mrs. Caroline Gremm, Heidelberg, and 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Seven sisters predeceased him and one daughter died in infancy.


The body is at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, Waterloo, where service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. Rev. C. S. Roberts will officiate. Interment will be in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery.
