LAWRENCE H. CAMPBELL, age 73, passed away at his residence on Highway 1 near Lexa, Arkansas, very suddenly on Friday afternoon about 2:15 p.m. His death was attributed to a coronary occlusion. Born in Washington County, Arkansas at Prairie Grove, he had been a resident of Lula, Mississippi and Phillips County, Arkansas for the past forty-six years. He was engaged in farming and made his home on his farm near Lexa for the past fourteen years. Prior to moving to Helena, he was engaged in farming on the Williford Plantation at Lula, Arkansas. He was a member of the First Methodist Church of Helena, Arkansas.

Although of a retiring nature, Mr. Campbell had many friends throughout Mississippi and Phillips County, Arkansas who will regret to hear of his untimely passing.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hattie Pursley Campbell, Lexa, Arkansas; three sisters, Mrs. O. Z. Crumpler, Dyersburg, Tennessee, Mrs. Loyd Baggett, Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and Mrs. F. W. Youree, Brownsville, Texas; two brothers, Harry Campbell of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, and Lacy Campbell of Belen, Mississippi.

Funeral services, conducted by Rev. E. B. Williams, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will be held from the Keeshan-Lambert Chapel this afternoon at 3:00 o'clock. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. C. P. McCarty, Frank Bown, Nese Johnson, Maxie Wells, Sam Clener, Sr., M. J. Etoch, Al Haraway, Bert Solomon, T. H. Faulkner, Sam Plumlee, W. T. Greer, John Hyman, K. L. Bratcher, G. W. Merrifield, and Angus Mahan. Active pallbearers will be Charles Warfield, Thurston Gist, Norman Gentry, Van Wilson, William Payne, Carlton Shelby, Charles H Hurvis, Ed Meyers, and Charles B. Buchanan.
