William Edward Fraizier, 79, of 1610 Governor St, died at a hospital in Wood River, at 8:15pm yesterday. Mr Frazier had been visiting with his son, William C Frazier, of Wood River, when he suffered a heart attack.
Mr Frazier was a retired Chicago & Alton railroad maintenance supervisor. He worked for the C&A railroad about 44 years. He was born Nov 4, 1870, and brought his family to Springfield from Godfrey in 1915. He was a member of the Ansar Shrine and the Modern Woodmen.
In addition to his son, Mr Frazier is survived by two daughters, Mrs Alma Renner, of San Bernadino, Calif, and Mrs Grace Evans, of city; three sisters, Mrs Etta Fitzwater, of city, and Misses Gertrude and Bertie Frazier, of Shelbyville, and several grandchildren.
Remains are at the Bisch Memorial Home.
